Welcome to Albany Dental Group where what we do will make you smile.
We can lose our teeth due to a variety of reasons. Our teeth can be worn down over time, be exposed to trauma, tooth decay, gum disease, infection or other oral health challenges. When a tooth cannot be saved and needs to be extracted, you have several options. With a bridge, you can fill the space left by the extracted tooth. The bridges are done without surgery. You will be able to maintain a natural smile and the bridge will be bonded in place to act as the tooth replacement.
When is a Dental Bridge a viable option?
Type of Dental Bridges
Traditional- Two crowns that jacket the adjacent teeth, fitting a false tooth in between the adjacent teeth.
Cantilever Bridge- When two adjacent teeth are not healthy enough to support the dental bridge, you can use a single crown and support the false tooth from one side.
Maryland Bridge- This occurs when a patient cannot go through a crown preparation. A Maryland bridge consists of a metal framework with a porcelain tooth placed in front of the metal wing. The metal framework then becomes the false tooth.
Implant Supported Bridge- Dental Implant can replace the missing adjacent teeth that can support the Dental Bridge. This is an ideal solution when we do not want to weaken the surrounding teeth.
If you are ready to cross that Bridge, we would love to speak with you about it. Please contact is at Albany Dental Group at 518-460-1519.
